What is a “T” Track and How It Works with Our XR Model Tonneau Cover
A “T” track is a specially designed metal rail shaped like an upside down “T” that allows fittings and accessories to slide and lock into place along the track. It’s commonly used in truck beds to mount tonneau covers and various cargo accessories.
When installing a tonneau cover like our XR Model, the “T” track system plays a key role in securing the cover to the tub (truck bed) without drilling or permanent modifications.
See the “T” section fittings which our XR Model Tonneau Cover uses to fit to the tub. These fittings slide into the “T” track and are tightened down to hold the cover frame securely in place. This system not only ensures a firm, weatherproof fit but also allows for the addition of racks and tie down points along the track.
